Robert Freeman, VP Marketing & Corporate Events

Robert Freeman aka “The Magic Man” Entrepreneur, President and CEO of Rising Star Entertainment & Legacy Entertainment Group Live, Robert Freeman is a native of Tucker, Georgia and a current resident of Stone Mountain. He holds a degree in business & marketing from Georgia State University and received training from Columbia School of Broadcasting.

He started his Atlanta radio career in 1979 with WIGO-AM and then V-103 FM. Robert became known as “THE MAGIC MAN” and has been able to use his popularity to create a thriving business career.

Here are some of his accomplishments: In the 1980s, Freeman ran the successful nightspot Babes Lounge and promoted the early musical careers of Teena Marie, The Gap Band and Luther Vandross. From 1980 to present day, he has successfully operated Legacy Entertainment Group Live.

From 1990 to 1997, Freeman and his mother operated Frances Country Café, winning Creative Loafing Magazine’s award for “Best Country Cooking (1995). From 1995 thru 2013 Freeman has successfully operated Legacy Luxury Limousine (now Preferred Corporate Transportation). Founded the non-profit organization God’s Special Angels in 2010.

From 1997 to 2005 Freeman brought world-class musicians to Georgia, promoting the annual two-day DeKalb Blues & Jazz Festival event. Throughout his career which stretches over 3 decades, Freeman’s ability to assemble bright and capable people has borne fruit in his business endeavors. He continues to wield his “Magic” touch in the entertainment industry by promoting top-notch talent in concert venues throughout the Southeast United States. “The Magic Man “has now joined the all star team at Strawesome Records, overseeing our corporate events, we are extremely excited and looking forward to the great success and the new journey with Magic and our recording artists.
